Candy Cane themed Table Settings - Major Hoff Takes A Wife

Candy Cane themed Table Settings

These are actually pictures from last Christmas, but I decided to share them because it was so fun setting this up! This is an event put on by our church called "Christmas by Candle Light". You pay to have a table, the guests pay, it ends up being a great fundraiser!

I paired up with another friend who has a bachelor's degree in floral arranging. She did this stunning vase of gladiolus. It is a Southern Living at home hurricane on top of a cake plate, with a red bow around it!

Oh the goodies! We set it up like a candy bar and everyone had bags to take items home. I wish we had more room on the table because there was so much. There are peppermint meringues, Peppermint bark, dipped pretzels and German Chocolate cake as the main dessert. The tall things are marshmallows dipped in white chocolate and then coated with sprinkles. They have crushed peppermints holding them in place.

Here are the details on the actual place settings....
The dishes are "Heritage" by pfaltzgraff, the water goblets are from Dollar tree, and the red chargers are from Hobby Lobby.
We placed a mini candy cane in each cup, a large candy cane on the side plate, and topped it off with a jingle bell with a tulle tie (jingle bells were from Joann fabrics). The church provided everyone with the white tablecloth. I made a smaller circle with fabric from Joann's and the dinner napkins. I simply used a rolled edge on my serger. Easy Peasy!

Other little details: There is another vase filled with round striped balls, those were found at hobby lobby last year I believe. Also, the milk glass ruffled cake plate I picked up at an estate auction in Kansas in 2000. Its Westmoreland.

Thanks for looking! I hope you enjoyed! I'm linking this up with Layla's Tablescapes party!
