I was able to score this poor dresser for a steal! I was excited to test out homemade chalk paint on it. I had tried the Annie Sloan chalk paint at the Haven conference and although I liked it, I didn't like the price tag. I used paint I had around the house and mixed it with some plaster of paris. Pretty easy peasy!!!!!

Not sure where it will go in the house-maybe in my sewing room. Its definitely a piece I wanna find a home for!

It took 2 coats and I was able to do them in one evening. It dried quickly in the Texas heat.

I also didn't use the AS wax either. I made my own concoction. If I am 100% happy with the results I will share in a few weeks. I wanna make sure it can withstand the 4 boys and their grubby hands.

So Whatcha Think?
