Best Gifts For Boys From A Mom Of Four Boys
This is my list of 10 gifts we have personally given to our children that have stood the test of time. These are the presents that were played with non-stop, that never sat collecting dust. Sometimes it’s so hard to find the right gift. Hopefully this list of 10 items of all price points will help you out if you need a little assistance in finding something that special boy in your life will like. These are the top 10 most fantastic toys that have gotten years of use in our house by all 4 boys. I would gear this list towards kids 7-14. In each case I will try to list several places to purchase so you can price check and find the best deal. The list is in no particular order.
1. Razor Rip Rider
This puts a new spin on the fun three wheelers we used to have, literally. The fun swivel wheels make doing loops, oh so much fun!

2. Snap Circuits
My oldest son first discovered these in his gifted and talented class. We’ve purchased several sets over the years and highly recommend them. It’s a fun way to learn about circuits and electricity and parents can feel reassured that they are safe for the kiddos. Combine sets together to make unlimited inventions.

3. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Book Series
My kids can’t get enough of the stories about a boy named Gregory. The comic book style interlaced with chapter books helped encourage reading. The movies are hysterical and I love the lessons the books teach with tons of humor. There are 9 books in the series.

4. Nintendo Wii U
My kids have spent hours on this gaming system. I prefer the Wii U because we can also stream movies from amazon and netflix. Also, in a pinch, my kiddos have used the handheld controller to play games or watch a movie while the tv in the playroom is programmed to something else.
Legos are one of the best gifts we’ve ever given the boys. I’m forever amazed at what they have created. These easy sets can build 3 different designs, and once completed can be added to a brick collection (unless of course your child wants to keep their work of art on display!).

6. Walkie talkiesBoys love these things! Hide around the corner, pass back secret messages, spy on the neighborhood, or just keep in contact with your buddies while walking around the neighborhood.
7. iPod Touch
My sons are in love with their iPod touches. They play with them everyday. They text (for free to other iPod owners!), FaceTime, and play games. They watch videos and movies and do their homework on them. Although pricey, these are probably the #1 toy used in our house.
We have the 5th generation and it looks like a 6th generation is available.

8. Nintendo Wii U Games (or other formats)
Three games my kiddos love. Mario Kart 8, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric, Super Smash Bros, and Just Dance 2015
You can find these, among others by searching through the video game section of all three sites.
9. Nerf Footballs and Nerf gunsAhhh, the Nerf I loved growing up, is the same Nerf that my kiddos love. The footballs make excellent gifts (we usually buy at least 1 a month for birthday parties) and the Nerf guns are also very popular.

10. MinecraftAnything, anything, anything Minecraft. My kiddos are so hooked to this game. It’s fabulous for learning coding skills, teamwork, and basic computer gaming. My kiddos own t-shirts, plush toys, the actual game, Minecraft legos, among other things.
