I can't believe it's already Monday again. And boy does it feel like a Monday today! I accidentally brewed a single cup of coffee on the carafe setting, so I've been mopping coffee today. OOPS! But I'm happy to be here again, and sharing the 3 favorite things that I've been loving this week. This Weeks Favorite Things:
In case you didn't notice, it's officially #PumpkinEverythingSeason. I'm usually the very first to get a pumpkin spice latte. I've been holding out this year because I know once I get one, I'll want one everyday. I picked up this tea in an effort to get my pumpkin fix without the crazy calories the other drinks have. It's not a Pumpkin spice latte, but the flavors are perfect for fall and it smells oh so good! I'm enjoying it hot and cold (Cause really Texas? 100 degrees? It's fall!).
I'm a magazine junkie. I know they say they are past their prime and digital is the way of the future, but I just love the simplicity of a well photographed, easy to read magazine. This magazine just makes me happy. It's given me great ideas for future trips, and at the same time reminded me of some amazing trips we've taken in the past. I'm a sucker for their travel books and have used them as a resource on several trips. The handy mini guides at the back are a real keeper. Plus the price can't be beat.
When I first went gluten free, I gave oatmeal a try and we just didn't get along. For whatever the reason, the last year or so, it hasn't been as big of a nemesis for me as it was in the past. I know that oatmeal offers a lot of health benefits (lower your cholesterol? Um, yeah. My new BFF). I used to love granola, but it's been so hard to find a non-nut granola. Nuts are still very much on my no-no list. I was thrilled to pieces when I saw this in the store, and decided to give it a whirl. I'm happy to say that I haven't had issues with it (disclaimer--the box does not say the oats are gluten free, and they probably aren't, my threshold probably differs from others). The raisins remind me of glutenous cereal I enjoyed as a kid.

I must be a sucker for punishment because this show has me drooling non-stop. I mean. The food. It sounds so amazing and the hosts that tell you about it just crack me up. I wait until bed time when I know I won't get out of bed, because if I watched it during the day, I'd be in the kitchen cooking something up! I now have a list a mile long of places to check out the next time I'm in certain towns.
What I'm reading:
I started All The Light We Cannot See and then my library said it was due. I'm waiting on another person's hold to expire and then I'll get back to it. But until then, I've been looking for dinner ideas in one of my favorite cookbooks. The knock you naked brownies and the beef and bean burritos are very popular at this house. I love that the extended version offers you videos. I don't think I've made a single recipe from this book that we didn't like!
