After a long summer leave, I’m finally back in action. I’m still a bit slow on some things, but am ready to go back to what I love so much— blogging and connecting with all of you lovely people! Needless to say, I’ve racked up a lot of favorite things over that time period and can’t wait to share them with you.
So let’s get started!!!!!
#1 These amazing wristbands!!!! A few years ago, I had a FitBit band that was recalled. I sent it back to the company afterwards, and missed having a step counter. The thing was, I didn’t care about the sleep cycle stuff, and being the cheap person that I am, I purchased the FitBit Zip instead.
I really liked it, but I was constantly forgetting to clip it on my shorts, or forgetting about it all together. I put it away for a few months. When the Dr told me I needed to start walking everyday as part of my recovery, I had the bright idea to pull it back out again. Knowing that I would forget to clip it on again, I went shopping for a newer model, but was surprised to see THESE bands available for the FitBit Zip!!! It was like the heavens opened up!
For way less than buying a new one, I was able to get 7 bands for a steal! Now I can switch out to the color that I want, and I have spares incase something happens to one. They have colorful patterns as well, and you can buy them in smaller packs or individually. I’ve been using the grey one for over a week now and it’s going strong. I’ve had no reactions, and it’s holding up to daily life. Plus, I don’t forget to put it on!
#2 So speaking of walking, I wanted to share the shoes that are still going strong a year and a half later. I am a creature of habit, and the hardest thing for me to shop for is shoes. I find the pair I like and I stick with them. I knew I needed a good comfy pair of shoes for my last trip to Europe, but I didn’t want it to scream “sneaker”. It also needed to go with shorts and jeans, handle rain and snow, clean up easy and look stylish. That’s not too much to ask, right?!!!! I was really happy when I found THESE deck style shoes from Sketchers. They have a yoga mat cushion inside that is divine! Plus they are super cute!
The best news— a year and a half later, they are still just as amazing! These shoes made it all across Europe and through 2 summers in Texas heat. They do occasionally get dirty, but I simply throw them in the washer and the dryer (on sweater dry), and they look brand new again. These are one of the best purchases I have ever made. You might have recalled seeing them on the glass floor of the London Bridge if you follow me on social media.
and now for #3…….Seasonal scents by Mrs Meyers! I have been a fan of Mrs Meyers for years, and fell in love with the Gingerbread scent a few years back. I’ve learned the hard way to stock up as the seasonal scents go quickly and sometimes don’t come back (as I weep openly for the Gingerbread scent). Every new season I get excited to see what they are offering. This fall they are offering Mum and Apple Cider.
I sometimes had a hard time finding seasonal scents in town, so I was so excited to see that Grove Collaborative carries the Mrs Meyers Line along with the seasonal scents. They used to be known as ePantry, and the concept is genius. Join up and you can have your cleaning supplies shipped on a schedule or just order when you need them. I love their specials and deals and right now they have a perfect deal!
Not only will you get a $10 credit towards your purchase, but you’ll also get a FREE Mrs Meyer’s Clean Day Hand Soap! YAY!! CLICK HERE FOR THIS INCREDIBLE DEAL!
WHEW! So now onto what I’m reading! I’ve been looking forward to this book for months, but it took a while to get it from the library. I was so excited when I got the email saying All The Light We Cannot See was available! I’ve only just started it, but I’ve heard wonderful things, so I can’t wait to cuddle up and get further into it.
Now for what I’m watching….. I’ve actually finished quite a few series on Netflix, and prefer to binge watch, but I have been enjoying watching this new series on the Hallmark channel.
I’m a sucker for their movies, and watch almost every single one of their series, so it’s no shock that I’ve added this one to my list. You can catch Chesapeake Shores on Sunday evenings over on Hallmark.
What are you watching this week? Do you have a favorite Mrs Meyer’s scent? What books are on your list? Please leave me a comment with all your recommendations!
