Stabilized whipped cream

No more melting!

heavy whipping cream

gelatin

powdered sugar

vanilla extract or your favorite flavor

INGREDIENTS

"Bloom" the gelatin

Sprinkle the gelatin powder into a small bowl of water. Heat in a microwave.

Stir the gelatin

After it has set for about 5 minutes, stir really well. Make sure no specks are left.

Whip it up

 Begin whipping the heavy cream. Make sure the beaters and bowl are ice cold!

Drizzle in the gelatin

Once the whipping cream starts to set, very slowly add in the gelatin.

Whip it baby!

When sturdy peaks begin to form, stop. You don't want to make butter!

Fill a piping bag

Dollops of cream are fine, but it's fun to create shapes with the whipped cream!

Pipe your shapes

Experiment with different piping tips.  Pipe directly on your dessert or on wax paper.

*create shapes and freeze for later use.  *frost an entire cake! *Use on top of pies or drinks!
