These scrumptious cupcakes add maple to put a spin on the classic flavors of snickerdoodles. The homemade maple frosting features cinnamon and brown sugar.

FOR THE CUPCAKES:
Use your favorite recipe or box mix
FOR THE FROSTING:
packed brown sugar
powdered confectioners sugar
milk or cream
FOR THE CUPCAKES
Bake according the the recipe, or directions on the back of the box.
FOR THE CINNAMON MAPLE BROWN SUGAR FROSTING:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter.
Add in the cinnamon, maple syrup and brown sugar. Mix until combined and the mix is lighter and fluffy.
Slowly add in the confectioners/powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, mixing in between each addition.
Once everything is combined thoroughly, slowly add in the milk, mixing well. The frosting should come together after mixing. It is not soft, but not stiff either. If it is too soft, add a bit more confectioners sugar. If it is to stiff add in a little bit more milk, 1 tsp at a time, mixing well after.
