- 6 tablespoon sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 1 12 oz bag of milk chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars
In a medium saucepan whisk together the sugar, cornstarch and cocoa powder
Add in the whipping cream and milk, whisk to combine
Heat over a medium heat, whisking constantly. Your arm will get a work out here!
The mixture will come to a boil and thicken. You will know when it thickens–it’s like magic! It will be the consistency of those pudding cups you can buy at the store!
Remove from heat.
Stir in the chocolate chips and continue to stir until they are all melted.
Allow to cool in the refrigerator or serve warm.
**Note: if you make ahead (which this recipe is perfect for) and you don’t like a “skin” on your pudding, then cover with plastic wrap. Press the plastic wrap right up to the pudding to prevent the skin from forming.
