Two of your favorite Elf quotes are turned into easy to recreate iron on vinyl templates for simple DIY holiday tee shirts on your Cricut machine!
Elf Quotes Tee Shirt Designs For Your Cricut Machine
Okay, I admit it. It was before Thanksgiving that my kiddos watched Elf. Because why wouldn’t you? This pop culture Holiday Classic can be enjoyed all year round. My boys think it’s the greatest movie ever. Even my oldest boys will stop what they are doing to watch it. They are constantly adding Elf quotes into conversations.
Things have changed as the boys have gotten older regarding the holidays. One thing they don’t want are those skin tight cutesy Christmas pajamas. I still want those super fun Christmas morning photos though.
I decided to solve this problem by getting them flannel pants and a comfy t-shirt. I took their favorite quotes from Elf and used my amazing Cricut® Air 2 machine to make these super fun festive shirts! You’ll find the links to files down below. Better yet, I’ve teamed up with some other awesome bloggy friends who are doing their own crafts and recipes based off of other Classic Christmas movies. They are also all listed below, so check them out!
The Classic Christmas Movie: Elf!
I’m not sure what makes us laugh the most. Buddy yelling at the store Santa, “You sit on a throne of lies!” or Buddy burping the longest burp known to mankind. I think the boys would probably go with the belch. Cause you know, they’re boys. So bust out your cricut machine, grab a candy cane or Christmas cookie, and get ready to craft my friends!
I used a simple throne design from Cricut Design Space and edited out all the little pieces. I flattened the text in, so I merely had to pull the letters out.
This one is 2 colors, so I used the layering technique for iron on vinyl. If you need tips and pointers my post, “How to use iron on Vinyl to make a shirt for any fan” will walk you through all the steps you need to know!
The supplies for these shirts were simple:
I used my Explore Air 2 (which I'm totally in love with!)!!!
If you remember from my post Fall Craft Ideas For A Mantel: Home Decor With A Cricut, I’ve teamed up with Cricut® to bring you fabulous crafting ideas! I’ve been a loyal Cricut® fan for many years, so I’m ecstatic about this partnership!
