My boys are getting much bigger now, and it’s time to transition their playroom into more of a tween lounge. We’ve lived in our house for over 8 years now and our builder grade carpet is shot. Too many kids and pets on a carpet that wasn’t made to sustain that. I was really excited when I got this opportunity to check out Carpet One’s offerings. I was in the market for flooring anyways and I wanted to see what they could offer me that maybe big box stores wouldn’t. And boy was I surprised! There is a HUGE difference! I can’t wait to tell you about my experience and what sets them apart.
I visited Aggieland Carpet One which is located right here in my town. Although Carpet One is a national store, each store is individually owned by people who live in your community.
The carpet I focused on was Lee's Carpet. The reason why? I loved the texture and pattern. I thought it was appropriate for a transitional room like the boys playroom. Also- that 25 No exclusion Warranty. I’m sorry? What? Pets, check. Boys, check. Sounds to good to be true, right? Well it’s totally not. How amazing is that!
The best part about this carpet? It’s included in the Don’t Do It Yourself flooring sale that Carpet One is offering. What does that mean to you? The sale offers up to 50% off of carpet and up to a $500 refund. SCORE! Now if you read my blog, you know that I like to DIY a lot of things. Carpet is not one of those things. Have you ever done that? The dust mites alone, the hassle of moving furniture. UGH. No way. This is worth it’s weight in gold. This is one thing I want to leave to the professionals. In the past, I’ve tried to DIY a few things like repairing textured walls, and then had to defer to the experts. The textured walls turned into a cuss word cuss off and a lot of frustration. The good news is apparently I'm not alone. Check out these hilarious #DDIY videos. After spending money on supplies, researching, and then defaulting to experts, I realize somethings are worth leaving to those with more experience. Carpet is one of those things-mainly because of the process that Carpet One offers.
See that up there? That really small thing hanging? I kept it small in this picture on purpose. Most people don’t give a second thought to the carpet pad that they will put under their carpet. But do you know how important that cushion is? Carpet One offers the Healtheir Living flooring installation. First, They come in and remove your old dirty carpet. Then they use a special HEPA vacuum before and after to reduce dust. Yes, they vacuum the wood or concrete underneath your carpet. Then they spray an antimicrobial treatment that disinfects, protects and diminishes allergens, mold, mildew and other yucky stuff that might have found it’s way there. Now tell me—if you are doing it yourself will you have done any of those steps?
The carpet pad is amazing. It’s so plush, you feel like you are walking on clouds. It also has a “spill bloc” that has 98% moisture resistance to keep the spills from seeping through to the pad. That means easier and faster clean up. The actual pad also inhibits growth of mold, mildew and odor-causing bacteria. Remember I mentioned 4 boys -this carpet pad will offer so much more than the industry standard foam.
The friendly staff at Carpet One will come out and measure your room (at home or office). This means you won't calculate your needs incorrectly. It also is helpful for moms of little children. Why fight the car seats when they come to you? My store even mentioned that they can bring small floor samples to you as well.
Carpet One has a lot of selection to choose from. Every style, color, and texture is available. The friendly employees will go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience. From coming out to measure your space for free, to moving your furniture, they’ve got the process down pat. I love that all the prices are rolled together and you know what to expect - no last minute surprises. And to top it all off? After 180 days, if you don’t like your carpet they will come out and replace it. For Free. Free! So you can feel confident in making your choices knowing you have a safety net.
Carpet One doesn’t just offer carpet—there is tile too! Every flooring surface is available. I’m in love with this wood look tile and can’t wait to find a way to convince hubs we need this in the kitchen!
In the meantime, I’ll be replacing the carpet in the playroom. And soon. Because Carpet One is offering this awesome Don’t Do It Yourself Promotion from March 6, 2015- April 19, 2015. In addition, I’m able to offer you, my awesome readers a coupon on top of that!
