Alright, my calendar isn’t different from yours. Yes, it’s really Friday, but Thursday seemed to escape me yesterday, so we are celebrating our tour a day late. But it will be worth the wait-Promise!
Today’s tour is a home that was built by CGM Home Builders Inc. Their quality and integrity are superb!
So let’s start this tour-shall we? Let’s start in the main home, in the living room:
Hello gorgeous wood beams! Hellow gorgeous bead board custom white bookcases! Hello gorgeous Austin stone fireplace that goes all the way to that gorgeous arched ceiling!
Let’s get a closer view of those arches!
Fantastic! The size of those beams astound me—they really left a presence in the room!
If you turn your back to the fireplace, you will see the open kitchen.
It’s hard to tell in the picture, but that island is HUGE and it is curved. It was so pretty with those corbels and millwork.
Here is a better view of the vent hood (so elaborate—the work is outstanding), as well as the back wall of cabinets. I love the tile, with the center feature tile.
This was the the little wine nook off the side of the kitchen island. it featured a mini fridge and bar sink. Look at the bead board in the back of the glass cabinets. No detail was left undone in this house!
This was the pantry to end all pantries for me. Glorious Glorious Glorious space!!! Look at all those shelves! Yes please!
Off the side of the kitchen was the dining area, and off of that area adjacent to the living room was the screened in sun porch.
I love the classic chandelier, the coffered ceiling and the big gorgeous windows!
A porch in Texas is priceless. A screened in porch in Texas is heaven. I mean—have you ever seen the crazy amount of mosquitos we get here? You can see the built in grill, stove top, and fridge. More stonework that is traditional to our area. I love the board and batten detail, and the planked stained ceiling had me swooning.
I also loved this little office nook. What a great way to utilize space between 2 walls. The arch in the upper bookshelves—perfection!
This would motivate me to do my homework!
On to the master bath:
My sweet friends are troopers. I blurred their faces, but let me tell you they are pretty & sweet to boot (you’d have to be to put up with me photographing everything under the sun in a house!)
This is a super long mirror. I would love opinions on this one. I have this same mirror in my master bathroom. I love love love love that the builder framed it out. But what do you notice? Yeah, the lights are actually on the mirror (there were recessed lights above as well). What do you think about this? I was considering putting mine above like they are now. But are they better on the mirror?
Here is the bathtub with tile surround. I love that it had a little sprayer included. Sweet! There is a tile shower around that curve, but I somehow didn’t take pics.
This was a hallway bathroom:
Love the drawers for storage, the countertop space and the vertical tile work in the shower area!
The laundry room:
Why yes, I could do laundry in here!
Let’s mosey on out to the guest house. Yes, a guest house (or a home office). Either way, I could live here pretty happily! It featured a large living sleeping area with gorgeous wood floors.
This was the mini kitchen area:
Has everything you need—storage, sink, fridge and a spot for a microwave!
This was the guest room bathroom:
I love the windows at the top, they bring in lots of light. And of course I’m a stickler for the trim details. Speaking of details, lets look closely at the curved feet of the bathroom vanities!
I swoon!
I’m leaving you with something that I noticed in several houses. It’s quite popular in Texas. I wonder if my readers will guess what it is? Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what your guess is!

You called it! I noticed it in about 40% of the new builds around here. Handy!
