Tour it Thursday: A Texas Modern Country Home & Monthly Home Tour Link Party

Modern Country Home Tour
I am so thrilled to share today's tour with you! If I had to pick a house to live in right now, this would probably be the house I picked. It is fabulous! From the barn wood style cabinet doors, to the distressed wood floor tile (yes tile!), to the Ballard Design mirrors---all right down to the Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter paint---well, I'm in love! Like major, swept off my feet love!

This post will be pic heavy (cause we take lots of pictures of people & things we love, right?), but down at the bottom will be the link party I've been promising. Link up any room or home tour (past or present). I'm excited to see you show me what you've got--the blogosphere has so many creative people--I know you won't let me down!

So let's start swooning over this house!
Distressed engineered wood floors entry way
When you first walk in the front door, these fabulous floors will catch your eye. They look like distressed, vintage hardwood pieces, but it's really tile! I love that the color had a rustic, worn look, and were not the standard wood floor style you see everywhere. These floors scream personality!
Entry way table with moss balls in french wooden dough bowl
The home was built by Mariott Homes. They win awards yearly for our area. They are known for quality and attention to detail.
It's a family affair, and they have wives and daughters doing the decorating (they are fabulous talented ladies!).
White kitchen with barn door styling and subway tile
Let's move into the kitchen. White cabinets with classic details make my heart pitter patter. The barn wood door style doors made it go crazy!
I love the darkness of the island to even everything out and warm up the space.
Sliding hidden spice rack built in next to stove top
The ever popular classic subway tile was used as a backsplash. No area is left untouched-including these handy slide out spice drawers.
Traditional barn door cabinet doors with moulding
Hello gorgeous!
Kitchen island lights with character
It's hard to take pictures of lights, but I had to share these beauties with you!
Kitchen island with dishwasher and paisley rug
Vintage soda pop lid stool
On the other side of the island are these darling soda pop top style bar stools. How neat are these (and they look like something my boys couldn't break!)
Dark wood butlers pantry with built in wine fridge
In between the kitchen and dining room is this handy butler pantry with the warm wood tones, the wine fridge and a sink.
Dark grey planked ceiling with hanging traditional chandelier
Somehow I didn't get a picture of the dining room. But I did get a shot of the planked ceiling. I love that it is a darker bold color and stands out. It gives the room so much character, as does the traditional candle chandelier.
Barn door style cabinet doors in dark gray paint with beadboard wall
There was this cute little half bath that I had to share. Again, the bold dark color looks fab on the barn door style cabinet doors. The bead board makes me swoon, and the classic arched faucet is stunning. I also love the character of how the countertop was cut to fit. Simply marvelous!
Austin stone fireplace
The kitchen opens onto this serene & calming living room. I love the dark stained wood mantle piece against the Austin stone fireplace!
Built in living room cabinet double crown molding
On the other side of the wall was this built in bookcase unit. WOW!
Let's take a closer look!
Custom built in living room cabinet with arched doors
See what I mean about how well the girls did at decorating? I'm ready to move in!
Sofa console table with fish net lamps
This sofa table was so cute and beautifully styled!
The breakfast nook is as well!
Dining room with stick art frame
Master bedroom with vintage details
Couldn't you just spend all day in this master bedroom?
Upholstered headboard with curve and feminine pillows
I mean--LOOK at ALL those pillows! Seriously, I die!
Beautiful Grey Gray fluffy pillows on bed Burlap ruffle pillow cover
I need to knock off this linen ruffle pillow in front. I tried to steal it, but it wouldn't fit under my shirt (just teasing, of course!)
Bun feet black nightstand with lamp and tin surround mirror
The side tables were substantial, yet elegant at the same time. I loved the mirrors resting on each one.
Double vanity with recessed sinks ballard designs curvy mirrors
And in case I ever decided to get out of bed--check out this master bathroom! Those curvy mirrors are so unique. You can find them in Ballard Designs catalog. Add the hanging lights above the mirror, and it's just Modern. Country. To. The. Tee!
Double vanity for master bath
Oh, and that soaking tub, Yeah, it's not bad either.
The house also had a stunning shower and closet.
Master bath with tile border pewter revere pewter paint
But I'm still thinking about this tub.
Laundry room sink and clothes hanger
To snap me back to reality, here is a corner of the laundry room.
Hallway bath with open storage console
Another gorgeous bath. I love the open bottom vanity with baskets. But it still has drawers and cabinets. You know, for the stuff you want to hide.

One last detail pic for you---one as you head out the front door. I love the lighting piece. So full of character. And check out the arched moulding over the door. Swoon.
