It’s that time of the year again! Time for fun commercials, spirited team debates, time with friends and family, and time for snacks! Who doesn’t love the #BigGameSnacks? Probably those who are stuck fixing them! Ha! Seriously though, there are so many easy to make dips and snacks that you shouldn’t have to feel stressed out.
Today I want to share with you my easy party ideas so that your next party won’t overwhelm you. Because you shouldn’t feel more beat up than the players on the field! I’ll share with you my table decor, easy to set up buffet, and even a seedless roasted red pepper hummus dip so your friends with seed allergies don’t feel left out! I was able to make my party around Cheez-it’s and Pringles which made things a million times easier. Especially since I picked most of the items up in one quick trip to Walmart.
The kiddos got in on the fun by making a homemade megaphone out of a Pringles can. Our neighbor girl, Baby A absolutely loved the Cheez-it Crunch’d and I think they have a fan for life! This post is picture heavy, so I’ll warn you ahead of time, but it will be worth it to see all the fun that we had with our neighbors!
I utilized my buffet that is in our dining room as a serving table.
I placed a quick black bean dip on some Cheez-it Grooves. The dip was a can of drained black beans, mixed with store bought pico de gallo.
Less than 5 minutes!
I used an oversized chalkboard that I already had to keep score. The Trophy was the centerpiece. Don’t you love the vintage feel to it?
We also used our dining room table for more room. It was easy to cover with a disposable table cloth. We let the boy’s homemade megaphone take center stage.
Pringles are so easy to arrange on a platter and everyone loves them!
We used fun football paper plates and napkins. Best part—easy clean up!
The runner on the table was super easy too! And disposable! I used painter’s paper (you know, the roll you can buy to protect your carpet when painting.). I cut it to size and my husband drew game plays on it.
My boys may have begged me to keep it on our regular table a few days longer.
I left the bags and containers out on the buffet so that my guests could see them and what to look for when shopping. The Cheez-it Grooves were very popular and I know they will be adding them to their grocery carts in the future!
We served these make ahead Peanut Butter Cup Brownies on this fun football inspired platter.
It seemed to be where the kiddos wanted to hang out the most. How strange?!!!
Miss M was a Pringles fan. Her brother did some awesome duck lips with them to crack us all up!
We served Original flavor, Sour Cream and Onion, and Tortilla Southwestern Ranch Pringles. You can’t go wrong with Pringles!
We offered the Cheez-it Crunch’d in both Hot and Spicy and Cheddar Cheese. A fruit tray from the store meant less work for me!
This little cutie could not get enough of them!
Please mom???
Remember that hummus I told you about?
It also only takes a few minutes to make!
Start with a can of garbonzo beans/ chick peas, drained and rinsed. Add 1-2 roasted red peppers (either fresh that you roasted, or even easier-from a jar).
Place in a food processor (I have this small one that I adore!). Add a pinch of salt and start grinding!
Once it’s nice and smooth, very slowly add olive oil while continuing to pulse. Mix it until it is the consistency of hummus that you prefer.
Traditional hummus uses Tahini (which is sunflower seed based). I can’t have seeds, so this is why I make my own. Once it’s done, I place it in a bowl.
I sprinkle about ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika on top, and then make a circle of roasted garlic in the middle. Kinda like the fancy ones you see at the market.
What do you think? Easy enough? Especially since it makes about 2 x’s the amount and costs less than the store bought!
Here is the fun Megaphone the kiddos made using a Pringles can!
What are your plans for the Big Game? Do you have favorite snacks you serve? Are Cheez-it’s and Pringles on that list? I’d love to hear about your parties! Leave a comment to tell me what your snacking on!
I picked up 99% of my items at Walmart. The Cheez-it Grooves are with the regular snack crackers, but the Cheez-it Crunch'd are a new product. They are usually found in a special display area. If you can't find them, be sure to ask a worker to help you out. My Pringles were easy to find, as they were on a display end cap. Here's a picture so you know what to look for.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw how much Baby A loves Cheez-it Crunch'd! Isn't she a doll?
