GARLIC PULL APART BREAD

It’s winter in Texas, which means lots of rainy days. Which I can totally get on board with, because nothing says rainy days like comfort food! When it’s cold and dark outside, I just want to hibernate inside and tuck in to a big bowl of soup and lots of bread. Of course, mine is of the gluten free kind, but for the rest of the family, they are usually treated to this garlic pull apart bread.
It’s so simple to make, and tastes completely homemade, but without any of the work! So many of you loved my Cranberry Orange Pull Apart Bread that I knew I just had to share how I make a savory pull apart garlic bread. Same concept, just different flavors!
The concept is the same as with the Cranberry Orange Pull Apart Bread. I simply use frozen roll dough balls as the star in the recipe.
This loaf was served with Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Loaded Potato Soup. They paired together perfectly!
The soup is beyond amazing. Can you believe it only takes 5 minutes to make? The soup is gluten free, so I was able to join in (basically eat the entire saucepan!).
The favorite part of the meal is actually pulling apart the bread. There is something so satisfying about seeing the bread tear apart!
To save even more time, I used a jar of pre-minced garlic. So I didn’t even need to get a garlic crusher or knife dirty!
Doesn’t this scream steakhouse to you? I absolutely adore going to a steakhouse, but can’t stand the long wait times restaurants can have. And let’s be honest, we all are full from bread and soup before the steak actually arrives, am I right?!!!
In all honesty, I’d rather just have my fill of the soup and bread. I was more than impressed with the Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Potato Soups. Not only did they cook up quickly (you simply add water!),
but they come in your favorite familiar steakhouse flavors.
- Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Creamy Potato Soup
- Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Loaded Potato Soup
- Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Three Cheese Chipotle Potato Soup
- Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Cheddar Broccoli Potato Soup
The soups are filled with real Idaho® red potatoes and skins, and have the flavorful slow-cooked taste of your favorite restaurant potato soup. They go from stove top to table in less time than you’d probably stand in line at your local steakhouse. A recent study showed that 79% of Americans wished it was easier to recreate the steakhouse experience at home. Idahoan® has you right on your way!
So whip up a fresh loaf today and get to dunking in your favorite warm soup!

GARLIC PULL APART BREAD
Ingredients
- 18 frozen roll dough balls
- 4 tablespoon ½ stick butter
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
Instructions
- Take out 18 frozen rolls and allow to rest on a sprayed baking pan, 2 inches apart, for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours. The rolls will thaw, but still feel chilly, and have just a tiny rise to them.
- Once the dough has risen, preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave, and then add in the garlic and Italian seasoning
- Spray a bread pan, and place it so it is sitting on it’s small short side. To see a tutorial on how to layer the rolls, click HERE (includes pictures)
- Taking a roll, press it between 2 hands to flatten it. Dip it in the butter mixture and place into the pan (again, see pictures). Do the same with a second roll, overlapping the first roll.
- Once all the rolls are in, they only fill about ½ the pan. Holding the rolls with one hand, turn the pan as it sits normally. Spread the rolls by taking one half and leaning one way, and lean the other the opposite direction. Try to keep them as upright as possible.
- If there is any left over butter, sprinkle it on top.
- Don’t allow to rise, as they will pop out of the pan!
- Bake at 350 degrees fro 25-30 minutes. The rolls are done when they are hollow sounding when tapped and the middle is no longer raw.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, you can serve in a pan, or display on a platter.
- Enjoy!

Came for the garlic pull-apart bread - stayed for the Cranberry pull apart bread. The soup looks great too. Will be trying the soup and rolls soon.

I can't access the pictures of how to add the rolls to the pan. I am using an ipad and tapping on the "HERE" in the recipe. I can't imagine what I am doing wrong?

Hi Rose! So sorry about that. Somehow the link had been dropped and I didn't realize it was missing! Thanks for pointing that out. It should work now. It's the same process I did for the cranberry orange pull apart bread, and you can see the step by step pictures in that recipe! Thanks!
