A Plaid Country Christmas!
So I have a confession to make. I know I posted my Dining Room yesterday, but so far, that is the only room that has been decorated for the holidays. For real. My Mantel still has my autumn decorations on it. See, even bloggers live in the real world with the hustle and bustle of kiddos, laundry, dishes, laundry (did I mention laundry?). I was so excited to be a part of this tour, but in the end, I knew it would be better for my family if I didn’t try to decorate and shoot the house in a limited amount of time.
Besides, my kiddos would never forgive me if I put up the tree without them (and I don’t think I could bring myself to do that!). So while I was bawling/sobbing/having a panic attack planning this apology post, I had an idea. My friend Kris has a beautiful home. I mean stunning. And she goes all out for the holidays. I mean, ALL OUT. Girl has style my friends!
Did I mention she’s a photographer to? I asked if she wanted to be gracious (and amazing) and share her home with all of you lovely readers and she said yes!!!! Don’t we all love her so much now? So Kris has sat on the fence about becoming a blogger. I think after you see this post you are going to demand she starts one. Because once you see this house in all it’s Christmas glory, you are going to want more. I can guarantee you that. So without further ado, and with a million thank you’s that will never be enough, here is the lovely Plaid Country Christmas Tour!

Thank you all so much for the kind words!! To answer the question, I painted the signs myself. Surprisingly, they didn't take all that long. Remember - the look I was going for was "rustic" - which is a code word for "imperfect!" The stockings are from antiquefarmhouse.com, as are all of the plaid and checked boxes sitting around. I'm glad you all enjoyed!

Just like a gracious host, you put your guests first - what a nice thing to do, showing off your friend's home - it's gorgeous with all the plaids. Adding your own related posts was a genius idea too. Merry Christmas.
